The General By-Laws state that the Governing Council, in other words, the Board of Directors, is responsible for governance and management of the Association subject to any decisions reserved to the membership. In practical terms, the Governing Council is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Association.
The Governing Council is responsible for ensuring that the President meets his/her responsibilities. In addition to the directorship responsibilities, Governing Council Members also act as union stewards of the Association.
Conditions of use: If you wish to send an e-mail to a representative of the AJC, we strongly recommend that you use the e-mail addresses of the members of our Governing Council rather than the employer's e-mail system.
PLEASE NOTE: Unless you have personal reasons for not doing so, we invite you to contact a AJC representative located in your region, and not just any member of the GC. This will ensure a more efficient follow-up of your requests. Thank you for your collaboration.
