Pay Implementation and $2500 Lump Sum Signing Bonus

As part of the new Collective Agreement pay implementation, eligible members were to receive a one-time taxable lump sum “signing bonus” of $2500 in their July 31st pay.  As a result of the feedback from the pay implementation survey sent earlier this month, we’ve learned that some members did not receive this payment.

Please note that since the lump sum is taxable, it may not have appeared as a clear additional $2500 on your pay stub. We encourage you to verify your pay stubs to ensure you received the appropriate amount.

If, after verification, you find that you did not receive the lump sum and believe you are entitled to it (you must have been an AJC member on May 3rd, 2024, to qualify), we encourage you to file a grievance as soon as possible. To assist with this, please complete the Intake form on the AJC website, and a member of our Labour Relations team will help guide you through the process.
