Update on TB Ratification of Tentative Agreement

As previously communicated, the AJC reached a tentative agreement with the Treasury Board on February 9^th, 2024 and you, the members, ratified this agreement on March 1^st, 2024.

As you know, this tentative deal is also subject to the ratification process at the Treasury Board’s end and we are writing to provide an update to you in that regard.

Ever since we advised the Employer that the AJC members had ratified the tentative agreement, we have been advocating for the Employer’s ratification of the deal so that the two sides could sign and execute the terms of the new collective agreement at the earliest possible moment.

We have now been advised that after receiving the notice that the Association had ratified the agreement, the Treasury Board has been making every effort to be able to sign the new collective agreement in early May.

We will provide another update once we hear from the Treasury Board – hopefully later this month. In the meantime, please rest assured that we are actively working on the matter with the other party.
