The AJC joins many other organizations in deploring the Russian Federation’s illegal and unjust attack on the sovereign state of Ukraine. This aggression is having a very negative effect on world peace and security.
We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine, the large Ukrainian community here in Canada, and all our members with friends and family in Ukraine.
As with other conflicts around the world, we recognize that AJC members may be affected and take this opportunity to remind members that they have access to the Employee Assistance Program which offers 24/7 crisis counselling and referral services.
Knowing the generosity of AJC members, if you wish to assist those affected by the crisis, please consider a donation to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal online or call 1-800-418-1111.
There may also be other worthy organizations assisting Ukraine to which you may wish to consider making a donation. Please be prudent and vet such organizations before making a donation to ensure that your generosity benefits the Ukrainian people.
The AJC is currently exploring other ways that we and our members may contribute aide to the Ukranian people and we will keep you updated as things develop.
