AJC Ratifies a New Collective Agreement

Monday, August 12, 2019

On Friday August 9, 2019, AJC members ratified a new collective agreement with their employer, putting an end to the bargaining process until 2022.

The union's negotiating team reached a tentative agreement with Treasury Board in July after multiple bargaining sessions in 2018 and 2019.

"It has been a long road, but our members finally have a current contract" said Ursula Hendel, President of the Association of Justice Counsel. "After several years of non-stop bargaining, the Negotiations Committee will finally have a bit of a break, although ongoing work on the joint pay studies will still keep the team busy".
