Collective Agreement in effect and update on retro pay

The Collective Agreement covering the period from May 9th 2014 to May 9th 2018 came into effect this week on November 7th 2018.

As we indicated in our communique earlier this week, the Employer will not meet its legal duty to issue the arbitral award retroactive payout before November 7 as ordered.

  

We can report that from the 770 cases that still needed to be processed at the beginning of the week, the Employer has indicated to us this morning that we now have 206 cases remaining.

More communications from the PPSC and DOJ will follow in the coming days.  We will be sure to post this information on our website as well for any member who works for another department or agency.
